Pedal Boat Ride w/ Tia!

We took Emma on her first Peddle Boat ride for our friend Josh's B-Day! She was NOT thrilled w/ being in a life vest, even though we though it was the cutest thing ever! She was really hot and sweaty. We had to keep an umbrella over her the whole time because it was so hot. (oh the life...) When the ride was almost over, Ben put in for dips in the water and she finally began to smile. She also loved waving goodbye to the ducks w/ Tia. All in all it was a great first boat trip.

Uncle Chuck Visits w/ Grandma

Chuck and Mom came down to visit for the day. We went shopping! One of Emma's favorite things, especially when Grandma's in town. (She usually gets some thing!) She's spoiled! We had a great time! It was nice to spend some time w/ Chuck before he left for South Korea again. Emma really had fun w/ her Uncle Chuck. It was great to see them play together!

Swimming in the Pool!

Emma loves playing in her pool! She usually ignores me when I'm taking pictures, so it's incredibly hard to get one of her smiling. These turned out alright.

Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! We spent it in Racine w/ Ben's family. It was a beautiful day! Emma got to hang out w/ her cousin Anahi and play in Opa's and Nana's big backyard. Emma loves running around and being free!

Emma loves running! Really, it's rare to see her walking!

Family photo; not the best, but oh well!

Playing w/ Lorelei

We went to visit our friends in Geneva. They took us to a neighborhood park. Emma loved playing with her friend Lorelei. They play so nice together! It's so fun to watch Emma play w/ her friends. She's growing up so fast, before we know it she's going to start having sleepovers!

Slides are fun!

Oh, the lightweights in my family!

Baking cookies

Getting started w/ Emma's first batch of chocolate chip cookies. Emma did a great job helping. It got a little harder to stir when I put in the flour, but she kept trying. We try to bake cookies once a week. Ben is getting sick of chocolate chip cookies, so we have to mix it up a bit; he's not a girl, so he doesn't understand the need for chocolate.
Helping is so much fun!

It's getting harder to stir now!

Ding! Cookies are ready to be EATEN!

Gramps and Mimi visit!

Emma is very excited to be going to the park! Gramps and Mimi came for a visit last month (June). She really enjoyed spending time w/ them! Come back soon!
